In short
You keep every right to the music you upload and the videos you make. You are responsible for having the rights to the audio you upload. Credits are spent when you export, refunded automatically when a render fails on our side, and expire at the end of each billing period unless you bought them outright.
Who we are and what this covers
These terms are an agreement between you and Vidome (“we”, “us”) covering your use of VIDOME at vidome.app, including the editor, the rendering service, and any API access.
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company or band, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.
You must be at least 13, and at least 16 in the EEA and UK, to hold an account.
Your content stays yours
You retain all ownership of the audio, lyrics, images and video you upload (“Your Content”), and of the videos you export. We claim no ownership over any of it.
To operate the service we need a narrow licence: permission to store, process, transcode and transmit Your Content solely to provide the service to you — for example decoding your audio to detect word timings, and delivering your finished video to your browser. This licence is limited to running the product, ends when you delete the content, and does not permit us to publish, sell, or train models on your work.
Worth knowing
You need the rights to what you upload
You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you upload — the recording, the composition, the lyrics, and any artwork or footage.
Uploading a commercial track you do not have rights to, in order to make and publish a lyric video, is copyright infringement. It is your responsibility, not ours, and it is the single most common way people misuse a tool like this.
We respond to valid copyright complaints and will remove infringing material. See our copyright policy. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.
Credits, plans and billing
Rendering consumes credits. Editing, previewing and re-styling do not — watermarked preview renders are always free, so you only spend credits once you are happy with the result. Analysing a new track for word timings costs a small number of credits, charged once per unique audio file.
Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance that resets at the start of each billing period. Unused allowance does not roll over. Credits bought separately in a top-up pack do not expire. When you export, we always spend the expiring allowance first, so your purchased credits are the last to be used.
The free plan receives a one-time credit grant rather than a recurring allowance. It is intended to let you finish a couple of real videos and decide whether to subscribe.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate partial months.
Worth knowing
We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. A price change never applies to a billing period you have already paid for.
Refunds
Credits already spent on a successfully delivered render are not refundable, because the work has been done and the file delivered.
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have a statutory right to cancel a purchase within 14 days. Because the service is delivered digitally and immediately, that right is lost once you begin rendering with the credits — you will be asked to acknowledge this at checkout. Nothing in these terms removes a statutory right you have.
Beyond that, if something has gone wrong, write to us. We would rather resolve it than argue about it.
Acceptable use
Our content policy sets out what you may not make with VIDOME. In addition, you agree not to:
- create accounts in bulk, or use automation to obtain free credits repeatedly
- resell, sublicense or white-label the service without a written agreement
- attempt to bypass credit accounting, watermarking, or plan limits
- probe, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
- upload malware, or content designed to harm our systems or other users
We may suspend an account that is doing any of these. Where the situation allows, we will tell you what happened and give you a chance to put it right first.
Availability, and what happens to your files
We aim for the service to be available continuously, but we do not guarantee it. Maintenance, outages at our suppliers, and faults all happen.
Finished renders on the free plan are kept for 7 days and then deleted — download them before then. Paid plans keep your library for as long as your subscription is active.
Worth knowing
If you cancel a paid plan, your projects remain accessible on the free plan’s terms, and renders older than 7 days may be removed. We will email you before deleting anything.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your settings. Nothing is destroyed straight away: the request is reversible for 30 days and your account keeps working throughout, and on that day your projects, uploads and renders are deleted. Backups still holding a copy rotate out within a further 35 days.
A workspace other people are in is not deleted with you — you leave it, and the projects and uploads you made stay with the workspace your teammates are using, with your name taken off them. If you are its only owner you will be asked to hand ownership over first, because leaving a shared workspace with no owner would leave everybody else in it unable to manage or close it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used for unlawful activity, or where we are required to by law. Where we can, we will give you notice and a way to export your work.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is”. Automatic lyric syncing is a best-effort process — speech recognition on sung audio is imperfect, and we do not warrant that every word will be timed correctly. That is why every timing remains editable.
To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period, or 50 GBP.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of content you uploaded or published — for example a copyright claim over a track you did not have rights to — you agree to cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email and by a notice in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can cancel and we will refund the unused remainder of your current period.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and disputes are subject to the courts of the State of Delaware. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
